Philippine men's volleyball team finishes fifth in Cambodia SEAG
The Philippine national team finished fifth overall in the men's volleyball event of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games on Monday in Cambodia.
The Filipino spikers avenged their preliminary round loss against Singapore, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, to cap their campaign in the biennial meet.
Singapore previously defeated the Philippines, 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.
While the national team was winless in pool play, the spikers capped off their campaign with two wins in the classification round, the other one being against Malaysia on Sunday.
Myanmar finished seventh overall while Malaysia ended up eighth.
Cambodia advanced to the finals after defeating Thailand, while Indonesia swept Vietnam to advance to the gold medal match.
