Philippine men's volleyball team drawn in Group A as SEAG organizers hold re-draw

The Philippine men's volleyball team has finally been placed in its group after the Cambodia Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (CAMSOC) held a re-draw on Tuesday for the men's indoor volleyball event of the 32nd SEA Games this May.

The Filipino spikers, who were initially not included in the draw held last April 5, have been bunched with defending champion Indonesia, Singapore, and the hosts in Group A. Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar, meanwhile, make up Group B.

The re-draw was made today after all the national olympic committees of the eight participating nations agreed to hold one.

Team captain Vince Mangulabnan will banner the team alongside Joshua Umandal, Lloyd Josafat, Kim Dayandante, Vince Patrick Lorenzo, Jayvee Sumagaysay, Rwenzmel Taguibolos , Leo Ordiales, Manuel Sumanguid , Jade Disquitado, and Jay Rack Dela Noche.

Rounding out the men's crew are Filipino-Americans Steven Charles Rotter, Cyrus Justin De Guzman, and Michael Raymund Vicente with Brazilian Sergio Valadares Veloso serving as the head coach.

Their women counterparts have earlier been grouped in Group B with Vietnam, Singapore, and Cambodia.
