F2 cops first-ever podium finish, sweeps PLDT in battle for third

F2 Logistics has finally ended its medal drought, trouncing PLDT in Game 2 of their battle for third, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15 to cop the bronze medal in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

The Cargo Movers, who eked out a similar four-set victory in Game One, will secure the franchise’s first-ever podium finish in the professional scene.

Veterans Kim Kianna Dy and Aby Maraño stepped up early for F2 in the fourth set before Myla Pablo’s crosscourt kill sent them to a 16-10 cushion.

The Cargo Movers then unleashed a 4-0 run led by a  service ace from seasoned setter Kim Fajardo.

Dy then soared from the opposite to give F2 the match point before Maraño sealed it off with her patented running attack.
