Bryan Bagunas drops 42 to lead Win Streak to Taiwan league crown
Filipino import Bryan Bagunas put on a show to steer Win Streak to the title in the 2023 Top League in Taiwan on Monday at the National Taiwan University Sports Center.
Bagunas dropped a monster performance, finishing with 42 points built on a whopping 39 attacks alongside two blocks and one service ace as Win Streak dethroned seven-time champion Pingtung Taipower in five sets, 19-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-21, 15-12.
The victory made the 25-year-old open spiker the second Filipino volleyball player to cop an overseas title after Jaja Santiago and the Ageo Medics ruled the 2021 Japan V. League V Cup Championship.
Bagunas previously reinforced Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler in Japan, suiting up from 2019 and 2022, while also representing the Philippines in various international events in the process.
