Creamline sweeps F2 Logistics, clinches finals ticket
Defending champion Creamline inched closer to retaining the crown after sweeping F2 Logistics in Game 2 of their best-of-three semifinals, 25-22, 25-23, 25-16, to advance to the finals of the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday.
Creamline now awaits the winner of the do-or-die semifinals clash between Petro Gazz and PLDT, which earlier forced a decider after a four-set victory.
Four Cool Smashers reached double-digit scoring with Tots Carlos shining the brightest, making 19 points built on 18 attacks and one ace while Michele Gumabao poured in 12 markers.
Ced Domingo and Jema Galanza each delivered 11 points with the latter nailing the game-winning attack as Creamline sent the Cargo Movers home.
Myla Pablo returned from injury and played sparingly to finish with nine points for F2 as Kim Kianna Dy was the lone player to list a double-digit output with her 11 points.
The victory was a redemption of sorts for Creamline after missing out on a finals appearance in the previous 2022 Reinforced Conference where they settled for a bronze medal finish.
