Oliver Almadro has been named the new head coach of Petro Gazz just two months after stepping down as the Choco Mucho mentor in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
The Angels made the announcement on Tuesday or just a week after they parted ways with Rald Ricafort, who then made a transfer to PLDT alongside assistant coach Arnold Laniog.

Almadro recently left Choco Mucho, a decision he said was made in order for him to focus on his duties as the Ateneo de Manila University mentor in UAAP.
At Petro Gazz, Almadro will take over a team that is coming off a championship run in the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference. Almadro is set to start his coaching stint with Petro Gazz come the Open Conference for 2022-2023 season.
