Alyssa Valdez scores 17 as Creamline downs PLDT; Choco Mucho beats F2 for first win
The Creamline Cool Smashers opened their campaign in the PVL Reinforced Conference with a win against the PLDT High Speed Hitters, 25-22, 25-18, 26-28, 25-22, on Thursday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Alyssa Valdez tallied 17 points anchored on 15 attacks and two blocks for the Cool Smashers. She also had 13 excellent digs and 13 excellent receptions in the four-set win.
The victory spoiled Elena Samoleinko's 24-point output for the High Speed Hitters, who now have a 1-1 record.
Meanwhile, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans (1-1) registered their first win at the expense of the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 26-24.
Reinforcement Odina Aliyeva had 27 points, 14 excellent digs, and 29 excellent receptions for the Flying Titans.
Lindsay Stalzer made her debut for F2 with 26 points in the loss, which brought them down to 0-2.
PVL action will return on Saturday with the Akari Chargers going up against United Auctioneers Army and Cignal HD Spikers facing Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
