Creamline nears PVL finals with win over Cignal; Kingwhale-Taipei wins in debut

The Creamline Cool Smashers took a step closer to the finals after defeating Cignal, 25-17, 25-15, 25-22, in the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference on Monday.

Tots Carlos scored 21 points on 18 attacks, two blocks, and one ace while Jia De Guzman had 26 excellent sets in three sets as they improved to 3-0.

With the loss, Cignal slid down to 1-2 in the standings and is now face elimination.

Earlier in the day, Kingwhale-Taipei downed Army Black Mamba, 26-24, 25-18, 26-24 in its PVL debut behind a strong performance from Bea Flavio de Carvalho.
