NU’s Mhicaela Belen is UAAP Season 84 volleyball rookie-MVP

National University’s Mhicaela Belen is a star of her own.

On Tuesday, the UAAP awarded to Belen the top individual award, the Season 84 Most Valuable Player, and also the season’s rookie of the year plum.

Aside from Belen, who also won first Best Outside Hitter,  other NU players were recognized. Camilla Lamina was the Best Setter while Sheena Toring was the second Best Middle Blocker. Alyssa Solomon was the Best Opposite Spiker, while Jen Nierva was the Best Libero.

De La Salle’s Thea Gagate was first Best Middle Blocker, while Ateneo de Manila’s Faith Nisperos won second Best Outside Hitter.

The awards were given ahead of the Game 2 of the Finals between NU and DLSU.
