Choco Mucho takes down Chery Tiggo in 5-set thriller; Cignal beats F2 Logistics

It took five sets for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans to take down defending champions Chery Tiggo Crossovers, 25-21, 16-25, 25-17, 17-25, 18-16 in the PVL Open Conference on Sunday.

After being down 13-11 in the final set, Choco Mucho's Kat Tolentino scored three straight points to bring the Flying Titans to a 14-13 advantage. It was a seesaw battle until both teams were tied at 16 in the extended set. Choco Mucho listed two straight points to claim the win.

Tolentino finished with 23 points off 19 attacks and four blocks in the Flying Titans' win.

With the victory, Choco Mucho improved to 2-0 in Pool A while Chery Tiggo remained winless in three games.

Earlier, the Cignal HD Spikers defeated the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, 25-14, 25-21, 19-25, 25-18.

Rachel Anne Daquis listed 13 points on 11 attacks and two blocks to put Cignal on top of Pool A's standings with a 2-0 card.

Meanwhile, Tin Tiamzon's 15-point output was spoiled and the Cargo Movers moved to the third spot of the pool at 2-1.

Cignal will see action on Tuesday against Choco Mucho while F2 will face the Flying Titans on Thursday.
