Marck Espejo, FC Tokyo complete sweep of Bryan Bagunas' Oita

Marck Espejo and his FC Tokyo squad completed a sweep of Oita Miyoshi, the team of Bryan Bagunas, after a four-set battle on Sunday in the Japan V.League.

FC Tokyo outlasted Oita, 26-24, 22-25, 31-29, 25-20, to register back-to-back wins this weekend.

Espejo had 9 points off 7 attacks, a block, and an ace for the win, while his teammate Yuma Nagatomo led the offense with 21 attacks and an ace. Jonas Kvalen also registered 22 points on 19 attacks and 3 blocks.

Meanwhile, Espejo's compatriot Bagunas continued to show dominating form after Saturday's 22-point output, delivering 21 points on 19 attacks in Sunday's loss.

His teammate Emerson Rodriguez had 17 attacks and 2 aces.

FC Tokyo's record improved to 8-16 while Oita slid to 5-19 in the standings.

Both teams will be back in action on February 19 with Espejo and his squad facing Wolfdogs Nagoya while Bagunas and Oita will go against the Toray Arrows.
