Des Cheng leaves F2 Logistics after five-year stint, signs with Choco Mucho

Another La Salle product will banner a different color come the 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

In a surprise move, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans bared on Thursday that former DLSU standout and F2 Logistics mainstay Des Cheng has joined the team amid a plethora of player transfers the past few weeks.

The latest development puts an end to Cheng's colorful five-year stint with the Cargo Movers.

"Adding Des to the roster will give the team much more depth making the Flying Titans unstoppable," the team said in a Twitter post. "Team Titans, let’s all welcome the newest addition to our family, Choco Mucho Flying Titans Open Hitter, Des Cheng!"

Cheng is just the latest F2 Logistics player to jump ship and ink a deal with rebuilding Choco Mucho after Aduke Ogunsanya transferred last week along with prized libero Thang Ponce.

Cheng, who was hailed the UAAP Season 79 Finals MVP when La Salle edged Ateneo in the finals, will now play alongside longtime rivals Bea de Leon, Maddie Madayag, Kat Tolentino, Ponggay Gaston, Deanna Wong, and Denden Lazaro-Revilla.

Choco Mucho wound up third in the eliminations round of the previous 2021 PVL Open Conference but ultimately bidded goodbye to medal hopes after falling to Petro Gazz in their battle for third.
