MRT-Negros outlasts Sabong Spikers in PNVF five-setter

MRT-Negros outlasted the Sabong International Spikers in a five-setter, 25-22, 25-16, 21-25, 21-25, 15-12, in the second game of the PNVF Champions League men's tournament's opening day on Monday in Lipa City, Batangas.
Jian Matthew Salarzon had 18 points, with five blocks and two aces, for MRT-Negros, while teammate Christian Marcelino had 14 attacks.

Charles David Absin, meanwhile, had 15 points for Sabong, with Mark Joseph Rocamora having 13 attacks in the losing effort.
MRT-Negros will try to register their second win on Tuesday against the Team Dasma Monarchs, while Sabong will face Global Remit on the same day.
