Choco Mucho, Rebisco open Team Philippines' campaign in Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship
Two Philippine teams are set to open their campaigns on Friday in the 2021 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
Team Choco Mucho and Team Rebisco will both see action on Day 1, which will mark the first taste of action for the national team since the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
Skippered by Aby Maraño, Team Choco Mucho will clash with home bet Nakhon Ratchasima QminC at 1:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Iris Tolenada-led Rebisco will open its bid against Altay VC of Kazakhstan at 7:30 p.m. (Manila time).
Choco Mucho is drawn in Pool A along with Nakhon and Zhetysu of Kazakhstan as well while Rebisco is grouped with Thailand's Supreme Chonburi, Saipa Tehran VC of Iran, and Altay in Pool B.
Team Choco Mucho will face Zhetysu on October 2 to wrap up the preliminary round while Rebisco will clash with Supreme Chonburi also on October 2 and Saipa Tehran the following day.

The men's squad, meanwhile, will fly to Thailand on October 4 for the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship slated from October 8 to 15.
