Choco Mucho keeps fingers crossed as skipper Maddie Madayag hurts knee
Choco Mucho is hoping for nothing serious as team captain Maddie Madayag hurt her knee in Game 1 of their best-of-three battle for third against PetroGazz in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Wednesday.
Madayag attempted to go for a kill at the 15-14 mark of the fourth set but her attack was returned to their side after Angels' Riri Meneses went for a huge block to tie the game.
The former Ateneo star was seen hugging her right knee after her landing, apparently hurting it, and was quickly put on a wheelchair as she was ruled out for the rest of the match.
Initial reports said that Madayag will still be assessed by team doctors.
With Madayag out of the picture, Choco Mucho lost the game, 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 25-20, and will be in a tough position come Game 2.
