PVL suspends all Perlas games after member of delegation tests positive for COVID-19

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) has decided to put on hold all scheduled games of the Perlas team in the ongoing Open Conference after one member of its delegation tested positive for the COVID-19.

The said individual has been moved into an isolation facility while all the other members have been quarantined in individual rooms.

They will all undergo RT-PCR testing on the fifth day since they last took the test.

"Pending the results (of the tests), the scheduled games of Perlas have been postponed,” said PVL president Ricky Palou in a statement Sunday.

The team's debut game that was supposed to be played on Saturday against Cignal at the PCV Socio-Civic Cultural Center had already been postponed for precautionary measures.

Perlas was also penciled to return to the stage this week with matches against Choco Mucho on Tuesday and Petro Gazz on Thursday.

The PVL, though, did not disclose yet as to when the team will be given the green light to play.
