UAAP: Ateneo grabs solo lead, NU extends UE's losing streak  

The Ateneo Lady Eagles regained the top spot in the standings with a 25-17 25-10 25-21 shutout of the FEU Lady Tamaraws on Sunday at the Filoil Arena in San Juan.

Alyssa Valdez pounced on the FEU defense with 20 points off 17 kills, while Jhoana Maraguinot added 10.

No FEU player tallied double figures, with Toni Rose Basas and Bernadeth Pons being limited to just eight and seven points, respectively.

The win was Ateneo's eight in ten outings, while La Salle is at second with seven wins and two losses. UP remained at third at 6-3.

FEU tied NU at fourth with identical 5-5 win-loss cards, after the Lady Bulldogs dealt the UE Lady Warriors their 55th straight loss with. 25-15 25-12 25-11 result earlier the same day.

Jaja Santiago had 16 points while Myla Pablo added 10. Jorelle Singh and Aiko Urdas chipped in a combined 14 as well.

Shaya Adorador was the only Lady Warrior in double figures with 11, woe the east of the squad combined for just 13.
