Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 heads to the Philippines
For the first time, multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) Honor of Kings is headed to the Philippines with the hosting of HOK Invitational Season 3 later this week at the SM City North EDSA.
Three out of 12 teams will represent the Philippines in the Invitational led by Blacklist International, which ruled the qualifiers last December, together with Elevate and Rough World Era.
Blacklist International is considered as the most experienced amongst the three Filipino bets after having competed in a number of international HOK events, including the prestigious 2024 HOK Championship last October in Indonesia.
Before the 12 teams duke it out for the prize pool of USD 300,000, organizers revealed that as part of its efforts to introduce the league locally, the LRT-1 will feature HOK designs starting this weekend until the grand finals set on March 1 at The Block.
HOK also collaborated with local talents as the Invitational will feature theme song "Pag-asa ng Pinas" performed by rappers Abra and Loonie. The official music video will be released to the public on February 20.
Malaysia is the tournament's reigning champion after ruling Season 2 held July last year. Back in Season 1, Keyd Stars emerged as the inaugural champion.
