Kevin Belingon battles Bibiano Fernandes for the fifth time
Former ONE bantamweight world champions Kevin Belingon of Lions Nation MMA and Bibiano Fernandes are set to meet inside the cage for the fifth time at ONE 171 on February 20 at Lusail Sports Arena in Qatar.
Belingon and Fernandes share the most storied rivalry in ONE bantamweight history.
Having fought four times in the past, the Filipino is currently 1-3 against the Brazilian with one of those losses coming by way of disqualification.
According to Belingon, the upcoming match will be a chance to finally close this chapter of his career once and for all.
"I have unfinished business with Bibiano. We have history together and I want to end our story with me on top," Belingon said.
One of the biggest names in Philippines mixed martial arts, Belingon last saw action in November 2022 against Jae Woong Kim where he suffered a stoppage loss in the opening round.
Despite the time off and a five-fight losing slump, Beling guaranteed he is coming in prepared against his archrival.
"I’ve waited a long time for my return and my excitement can’t be measured. Rest assured, I have been working on my game in my time away. I’m gonna come out ready and entertain our fans, especially the Filipino fans in Qatar," Belingon stated.
