Moral, Camacho rule 42K race of HOKA Trilogy Run National Finals
Edsel Moral and Maricar Camacho ruled the 42K race of the HOKA Trilogy Run Asia National Finals held last Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia grounds.
Moral clocked two hours, 46 minutes, and 43 seconds to top the men's 42K race, followed by James Kevin Cruz (2:54:26) and Rudy Nino Singular (2:54:53).
Camacho, meanwhile, finished the course in three hours, 25 minutes, and 38 seconds to place first on the women's side ahead of Jennelyn Isibido (3:37:07) and Honey Damian (3:56:29).
In the 21K race, David Kipsang ruled the men's division (1:10:33), followed by Ritchie Estampador (1:11:33) and Eduard Flores (1:12:13). Mea Gey Ninura topped the women's side (1:34:21), followed by Edna Magtubo (1:34:22) and Rocel Maestro (1:37:04).
Ricky Organiza finished first in the male 10K category (31:23), while James Darrel Orduna (32:07) and Roy Laudit (32:34) followed suit. Jessa Mae Roda placed first among the females with 40 minutes and four seconds, followed by Maria Jonna Lina Abutas (40:28) and Decerie Encomio (42:02).
In the 5K category, Alfrence Braza had the best time with 16:18, followed by Jevie Rebutazo (16:26) and Joel Orogan (16:51). Joida Gagnao finished first in the women's division with 20:02, followed by Jash Mae Duhaylungsod (24:03) and Danica Baylon (25:51).
Around 11,000 runners joined in the culminating activity of the trilogy which had legs held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro.
“We are very happy with the outcome particularly sa National Finals because yung main objective natin is yung progression and yung commitment ng runners natin,” RUNRIO founder and CEO Rio dela Cruz said.
