Islay Erika Bomogao wins ONE debut at Friday Fights 86

Filipina Muay Thai sensation Islay Erika Bomogao made a triumphant ONE Championship debut following a win over Fuu on the undercard of ONE Friday Fights 86 on Friday at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Japanese came out swinging which momentarily caught Bomogao off guard. It did not take long for the 23-year-old Filipina to adjust, throwing sneaky kicks up top while unleashing quick punches and elbows.

Fuu pressed the action in round two, but it was Bomogao who landed cleaner with her counterstriking. Fuu continued to move forward in the third and final round but was mostly on the receiving end of Bomogao's lengthy kicks that kept her at bay.

All three judges saw the fight for Bomogao after three rounds of action, earning her a unanimous decision nod over her Japanese foe.

Two Filipino prizefighters also saw action on the undercard. Flyweight striker Fritz Biagtan scored a unanimous decision win over Seyedali Asli while Carlos Alvarez of Team Lakay won via second-round technical knockout over Mirza Aliev.
