PH surfer John Mark Tokong advances to Siargao Int'l Surfing Cup QF


Philippine surfer John Mark Tokong on Wednesday advanced to the quarterfinals of the Siargao International Surfing Cup (SISC) in General Luna, Surigao del Norte.

Tokong was the only surfer from the country to book a quarterfinals slot, along with Japan's Tenshi Iwami and Australia's Kyan Falvey, Oscar Berry, Macklin Flynn, Reef Heazlewood, Xavier Huxtable, and Eden Hasson.

Tokong scored 11.10 in Heat 4 of the Round of 16 to advance to the quarters.

The SISC is surfing's largest international tournament in the Philippines. It is also the country’s first WSL QS5000 International Surfing Cup.

The event will run until November 4.
