Pinoy import Toshi, Dominator Esports bow to BSE in 2024 Honor of Kings Championship
JAKARTA — Filipino import Adrian "Toshi" Bacallo and the Dominator Esports failed in its home stand, falling prey to Black Shrew Esports (BSE) of Malaysia, 4-0, in the 2024 Honor of Kings Championship grand finals on Sunday here.
Black Shrew Esports, whose core members made up the squad that ruled the HoK Invitational Season 2 last July, will take home 300,000 USD while Dominator Esports will bag 160,000 USD.
It was all BSE right from the get-go with farm laner Ryan Na Jie "JR" Rong copping back-to-back MVP honors in Games 1 and 2, where he unleashed his masterful use of Arli in both matches. BSE, who dominated Team Falcons and Blacklist International, also had two aces in Game 2 as they cruised to a commanding lead.
Dominator Esports made the adjustment in Game 3 with Toshi picking Arli during the draft phase while JR was left with Lady Sun.
However, that didn't help their cause with jungler Chan Tat "MusangKing" Yann taking charge on his Yuhuan, dropping a spotless line of five kills and six assists against no death as they went 3-0 in just eight minutes and 41 seconds of Game 3 clash.
