Para swimmer Angel Otom concluded her campaign in the 2024 Paris Paralympics as she finished fifth in the women's 50m butterfly - S5 finals on late Friday at the Paris La Defense Arena.

Otom clocked 45.78 seconds to place fifth.

China's Lu Dong won the gold as she registered 38.17 seconds to break the previous world record of 39.32 seconds by compatriot He Shenggao in 2023.

Shenggao settled for silver with 38.98, while Turkiye's Sevilay Ozturk bagged the bronze with 43.70 seconds.

Only one Filipino para athlete remains in competition in Paris with Cendy Asusano in the women's javelin throw - F54 on Saturday.
