Islay Erika Bomogao takes no. 1 spot in IFMA rankings

Islay Erika Bomogao took the no. 1 spot in the rankings of the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations.

Bomogao grabbed the no. 1 spot in the 45kg category.

Back in June, Bomogao bagged silver medals in the female wai kru and Mai Muay 1 of 2 events, and a bronze in the female elite 45kg class of the 2024 Senior World Championships in Patras, Greece.

In 2023, Bomogao won the gold medal in the female elite 45kg event of the Muaythai World Championship 30 years IFMA in Bangkok, and claimed a silver in the female wai kru event of the same tourney.

Bomogao is also a Southeast Asian Games gold medalist as she ruled the female waikru mai muay thai event in Hanoi back in 2022.
