Carlos Yulo plans to hold clinics for young gymnasts

Carlos Yulo is looking to pay it forward after winning two gold medals in the 2024 Paris Olympics as the Filipino gymnast plans to share his knowledge and expertise through clinics.

The 24-year-old Yulo shared he is eyeing to teach kids the basics of the sport.

"Gusto ko rin ma-share 'yung knowledge na natutunan ko po sa naging journey ko," Yulo told Pia Arcangel in a GMA Integrated News Interview on 24 Oras.

"And siyempre to have fun din po 'yung mga bata, and ako na ma-enjoy ko yung pag-share ng naging journey ko po."

Yulo said he also plans to return to Japan to personally thank those who helped him there. He spent many years in Japan, studying in Japanese schools while also honing his gymnastics skills under his former coach Munehiro Kugimiya.

He flew to Japan in 2016 and studied and completed the Japanese Language Course at the Teikyo Study Abroad Center. He then graduated from Teikyo University Junior College before entering Teikyo University.

Since then, Yulo rose to become the greatest Filipino gymnast in history, winning double gold medals in Paris by reigning supreme in his pet events floor exercise and vault.
