Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo visits GMA Network

Double Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo was greeted with warm welcome as he made a visit to GMA Network in Quezon City.

Accompanied by Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) president Cynthia Carrion, the Filipino gymnast arrived on Tuesday afternoon and was greeted by several GMA executives, including GMA Network President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., GMA Network Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mr. Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and President and CEO of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA Network Senior Vice President for Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Mr. Oliver Victor B. Amoroso and GMA Network First Vice President of Sparkle GMA Artist Center and Talent Development & Management Ms. Joy C. Marcelo.

"Outstanding! Very proud and very grateful for the opportunity to personally meet him and congratulate him and thank him," Duavit said.

"To thank him for the inspiration and the strength he brings us all, the hope he brings to everybody, bukod tangi siya and proud to be Filipino tayong lahat."

The Olympian made history, winning two gold medals in the recently-concluded 2024 Paris Olympics, ruling both the men's floor exercise and the men's vault events of the gymnastics competitions. He is the country's second-ever gold medalist in the Olympics and one of only four to win two medals.

Yulo has attended several homecoming events in his return to the country, which includes meeting with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. last August 13 and a parade in Manila the day after.

Yulo’s visit at GMA includes an interview with Pia Arcangel for 24 Oras.
