Salmon belly sinigang on Palace menu for Yulo, Olympians
Salmon belly sinigang and US angus ribeye in mechado sauce are on Malacañang's dinner menu as President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and the First Family hosted Olympic gold-medalist Carlos Yulo and the other Filipino Olympians in the recently concluded Paris games.
The ribeye was served with mashed sweet potato and sauteed French beans.
The athletes were served flourless decadence chocolate cake and pistachio macaron for dessert, and dalandan juice, and coffee or tea.
The Philippines emerged as the best Southeast Asian team in the Olympics after closing out Paris 2024 with four medals.
The country wrapped up the Summer Games at the 37th spot with two gold medals from Yulo, who ruled the men's floor exercise and vault, and two bronze medals courtesy of boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas. —Anna Felicia Bajo/NB, GMA Integrated News
