Carlos Yulo no longer wants to discuss family issues in public: Let's celebrate Filipino athletes

Carlos Yulo wishes no further talk in public about family issues amid his historic two-gold haul in the Paris Olympics.

In an interview with "24 Oras" anchor Mel Tiangco, Yulo briefly addressed his mother's press conference in Manila, stressing that he had already forgiven her.

"Matagal ko na pong napatawad ang parent ko po," Yulo said when asked about the press conference on Wednesday.

Instead, Yulo rallied those athletes still competing in the Olympics and said he wants to celebrate what they have achieved.

On Thursday, Yulo's mom Angelica appealed for reconciliation with her son.

Yulo won two gold medals in the Summer Games, with one from the floor exercise and another from the vault event.
