LIVE UPDATES | Philippines at the 2024 Paris Olympics: August 4, 2024 - Carlos Yulo, Nesthy Petecio, John Cabang Tolentino, Lauren Hoffman

The Philippines has a chance for two more medals on Sunday at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Tonight, Carlos Yulo will aim for another Olympic medal when he competes at the men's vault finals.

Yulo is coming off a historic gold medal win for the Philippines on Saturday when he ruled the men's floor exercise finals.

Nesthy Petecio, meanwhile, will aim to secure another medal for boxing when she steps onto the ring in the women's 57kg quarterfinals. Advancing to the semis will assure Petecio of at least a bronze medal -- second for boxing for this year's Games and also second for Petecio since her silver back in Tokyo.

Aira Villegas secured the country at least a bronze medal after her win against French foe Wassila Lkhadiri in the quarters earlier.

Prior to these, hurdlers John Cabang Tolentino and Lauren Hoffman will open their respective campaigns in the Olympics.
