Fil-British gymnast Jake Jarman bags floor bronze behind Carlos Yulo's gold

Filipino-British gymnast Jake Jarman is making quite the impression in his Olympics debut, bagging the bronze medal in the men's floor exercise event on Saturday at the Bercy Arena.

Jarman, 22, scored 14.933 points on his routine after collecting 6.600 from difficulty and 8.333 from execution to wind up at third place behind gold medalist Carlos Yulo of the Philippines and Artem Dolgopyat of Israel, who took home the silver with 14.966 outing.

Jarman came into the finals round as the number seed after scoring 14.966 in the qualification round while Yulo was at the second spot with 14.766 performance.

This, however, won't be the last time that Jarman and Yulo will meet on the mat as both athletes will still compete in the vault finals Sunday at 10:24 p.m. (Philippine time).

In the preliminaries, Jarman also turned heads by scoring 15.166 to emerge as the second seed while Yulo was at the sixth spot with 14.800.
