Jarod Hatch makes early exit in Olympic swimming

Jarod Hatch made an early exit in the 2024 Paris Olympics as he finished 36th overall in the preliminary round of the men's 100m butterfly event on Friday.

Hatch finished eighth in Heat 2 with 54.66 seconds.

The Filipino-American swimmer is tied with Jamaica's Josh Kirlew in the rankings as he logged the same time.

Only the top 16 swimmers after the end of the preliminary round will advance to the semifinals.

With Hatch out of the competition, Philippine swimming also wrapped its campaign as Kayla Sanchez finished 15th in the semis last Wednesday.
