Emma Malabuyo, Aleah Finnegan, Levi Ruivivar end Olympics campaign

Gymnasts Emma Malabuyo, Aleah Finnegan, and Levi Ruivivar were not able to qualify for the medal rounds of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

After their performance in Subdivision 3 of the qualification round, Ruivivar and Malabuyo scored 51.099 to place 28th and 29th in the all-around, respectively, while Finnegan (50.498) was at 32nd.

However, by the end of all the subdivisions, Ruivivar eventually finished at no. 40, while Malabuyo and Finnegan placed 41st and 47th, respectively.

Only the top 24 gymnasts with a limit of two per country will advance to the all-around finals.

Their scores were also not enough to advance to the medal round of each apparatus as only the top eight will qualify for the finals.

In the floor exercise, Malabuyo scored the highest among the three with 13.100 to finish 25th, while Finnegan and Ruivivar had 12.733 and 12.433, respectively.

Malabuyo also scored the highest with 12.233 to place 57th in balance beam, while Ruivivar scored 11.866. Finnegan, on the other hand, had 11.466.

In uneven bars, Ruivivar ended up as the highest among the three gymnasts at no. 40 with 13.200, while Finnegan and Malabuyo had 12.566 and 12.500, respectively.

Ruivivar also scored the highest in vault with 13.600 while Finnegan and Malabuyo had 13.383 and 13.266 points, respectively. However, their scores did not make the cut.

This is their first Olympic stint for the Philippines as the three previously had stints with USA gymnastics.

Carlos Yulo, meanwhile, will compete in the all-around, floor exercise, and vault finals of men's gymnastics.
