Edward, Renejay, Benthings lead new MPL team Aurora Gaming

Hell-bent in making its presence felt in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang scene, Aurora Gaming has formed a formidable team to mark its entry starting in the MPL Philippines Season 14. 

The Serbian club announced on Saturday its stacked roster made up of former Blacklist International stars in exp laner Edward "Edward" Dapadap, midlaner Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo, and ex-roamer Renejay "Renejay" Barcase, who took a break last season. 

Completing the squad is former MINANA Evos gold laner Jan "Domeng" Delmundo and former RSG Philippines jungler Jonard "Demonkite" Caranto while former TNC roamer Ben "Benthings" Maglaque will serve as the sixth man and the analyst. 

Two more former Blacklist International personnel in Aniel "Master The Basics" Jiandani and Dexter "Dex Star" Alaba will comprise Aurora Gaming's coaching staff as they look to immediately make an impact in the strongest region in the world. 

"Pumasok kami sa Aurora na lahat kami ay walang achievements so para sa akin, lahat kami po nag-start kami as a team," team captain Renejay said during the media day last week. 

"Masaya [na nakabalik na ako] kasi bagong team din kami so marami din siyang mga challenges at thrill. Ang saya ulit maglaro, parang bagong player ulit ako, parang gutom na gutom manalo."

Head coach Master The Basics shared that the chemistry within the players is improving by the day, especially that more than half of the team is led by former Blacklist players and coaches, who led the Codebreakers to a number of titles in the past.

"Naha-handle naman ni cap kaya sync 'yung connection, maganda rin 'yung chemistry nila pero sa ngayon kasi bago pa lang," MTB shared. 

Aurora Gaming has earlier announced that the duo of Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario will join the team. However, they will only serve as content creators for the time being.
