The 2024 Paris Olympics are set to officially get under way with the highly-anticipated opening ceremony to be held along the River Seine.

Nearly 7,000 athletes are expected to take part in the ceremony in barges that will take them past many of Paris' famous landmarks.

The Philippines, meanwhile, will have 22 athletes in the Paris Games.
