OhMyV33nus, Wise return to MPL under new team Aurora

The winning tandem of Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario will return to the professional scene as part of Aurora Gaming, the newest team ahead of MPL Philippines Season 14. 

Aurora formally welcomed the duo on Tuesday night after weeks of speculations online about their highly-anticipated return following a break for the past two MPL seasons. 

Aurora Gaming, though, has yet to divulge its full lineup and said the full roster reveal will happen on July 27. 

Aurora Gaming has been a staple in the esports ecosystem since 2022 with its headquarters based in Serbia and Malaysia. The organization has teams in various titles such as CS2, Apex Legends, CS2 Academy, Warcraft, and most recently, DOTA 2.

With its entry to MPL Philippines, Aurora Gaming officially marks its first endeavor in ML:BB with the V33Wise tandem leading its team.

"With mobile esports’ brightest stars, the royal duo Ohmyv33nus and Wise Gaming joining our Aurora Gaming Company, there are a plethora of reasons to be excited about the future," Aurora Gaming said in a Facebook post. 

"We believe in the immense potential of MLBB as an esports discipline and we eagerly look forward to our roster showcasing their talents as part of Aurora’s hearth and home."

Ohmyv33nus and Wise both announced their exit from Blacklist International earlier this month, which marked the end of an era that saw them steer the team to three MPL titles and one M-Series world championship. 

However, it remains unknown whether the two will suit up as players or part of the coaching staff.
