NCR rules Palarong Pambansa 2024

The National Capital Region (NCR) finished as the overall champion of the 2024 Palarong Pambansa as the national meet closed on Tuesday in Cebu.

NCR became the runaway winners with 98 gold medals, 66 silver medals, and 74 bronze medals.

The region also claimed gold medals in events such as men's volleyball secondary division as NCR representative National University Nazareth School defeated Region IV-A's De La Salle Lipa, 27-29, 25-19, 19-25, 28-26, 16-14, and in secondary men's basketball as the NU-backed NCR defeated Central Luzon, 86-71, in the finals.

Region IV-A finished second with 57 gold medals, 51 silvers, and 53 bronzes, while Region VI-Western Visayas placed third with 56 gold medals, 41 silver medals, and 41 bronze medals.

The next edition of the Palarong Pambansa will be held in Ilocos Norte in 2025.
