End of an era as Blacklist International bids goodbye to title-laden Main Five

Blacklist International is ushering in a new era as it announced the exit of the main five players that brought the franchise numerous titles both in the local and international scene of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

The quintet, made up of roamer Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna, jungler Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario, gold laner Kiel "Oheb" Soriano, midlaner Salic "Hadji" Imam, and exp laner Edward "Edward" Dapadap, has bid the Codebreakers goodbye after years of dominating the MLBB scene together.

"Let this be a reminder that today's greatest moments will forever be your tomorrow's greatest memories," Blacklist said in a Facebook post on late Friday.

It continued: "Blacklist Main 5 chapter has officially signed off."

As a group, the main five won its first back-to-back titles MPL in Seasons 7 and 8 by defeating Execration and Onic Philippines to signal the team's uprising that came following years of coming up short.

Their ascension did not stop there as the Codebreakers conquered the world stage and reigned supreme during the M3 World Championship in late 2021 that saw them rise from the lower bracket to the throne.

The duo of OhMyV33nus and Wise then took a short break the following MPL edition, but came back in Season 10 to once again help the team deliver another championship in the local scene.

However, the tandem once again announced they're taking a breather from competitive action and missed Blacklist's campaign in Seasons 12 and 13, which saw Falcons AP.Bren and Team Liquid Echo winning the titles, respectively, while Blacklist ended up as runner-up in both.

Shortly after their M3 run, the core continued to represent the country, this time in the Southeast Asian Games. During the biennial event in Vietnam, the team rose to the top anew and took home the gold medal by taking down an all-star team from Indonesia.

However, their time together has come to an end as OhMyV33nus, Wise, and Edward had already announced their departures in the past days as well midlaner Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo, who stepped in to fill the role after Hadji switched to roaming duties.
