Malaysia's HomeBois rules Wild Card stage, earns MSC ticket

Malaysia's HomeBois completed the 16-team field for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2024 after ruling the inaugural Wild Card stage on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

HomeBois, which fell to the Selangor Red Giants during the grand finals of MPL Malaysia Season 13, defeated Entity7 in their best-of-five finals round clash of the Wild Card tilt, 3-1.

With the victory, HomeBois qualified for the MSC main event, where it is bunched in Group C alongside reigning MPL Philippines champion Team Liquid Echo as well as Team Spirit and Twisted Minds.

HomeBois is bannered by two imports in Filipino gold laner in Kenneth “Nets” Barro and Indonesian midlaner Muhammad Julian “Udil” Ardiansyah. They join exp laner Muhammad Irfan “Sepat” bin Aujang, jungler Muhammad Nazhan Mohd “Chibi” Nor, roamer Mohammad Zul Hisham “Xorn” bin Mohd Noor, substitute and Muhammad Akmal "Mal" bin Rozali.

“I am really happy and excited to fight in the Group Stage. But the moment I leave the venue today, I will remain focused on my task for the team. We need to set our emotions and focus on another mission," said assistant coach Jeffrey "Jeff" Manforte.

The MSC group stage will kick off on Wednesday with Philippine bets Falcons AP. Bren taking on Xianyou Gaming at 11 a.m. while Team Liquid Echo will open its bid against Twisted Minds later on the same day.
