Cendy Asusano qualifies for Paris Paralympics

Para athlete Cendy Asusano has secured a slot to the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

The Philippine Sports Commission announced on Friday her qualification to the Paris Para Games.

According to the sports body, Asusano is coming off a fourth place finish in the women's javelin throw F54 event of the World Para Athletics Championship in Japan last May.

She also bagged gold medals in the women's shot put and javelin throw F54 events of the ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia last year.

Asusano is the sixth para athlete to qualify to the Para Games this year, along with para swimmers Ernie Gawilan and Angel Otom, Allain Ganapin of para taekwondo, para archer Agustina Bantiloc, and wheelchair racer Jerrold Mangliwan.
