Jarred Brooks and Gustavo Balart battle for interim title

Former world titleholder Jarred Brooks and Gustavo Balart will battle for the ONE interim strawweight title at ONE Fight Night 24 on August 3 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The pair will duke it out for the belt while the reigning ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio is out due to an injury he suffered even before his rematch with Brooks last March.

"The guy (Balart) hasn't gotten one finish. He hasn't finished anybody. All he's done is just beat people for three rounds. You're just sitting there getting through the fight," Brooks stated.

Standing at 4'11, Balart is known for his wrestling and ability to trade leather with bigger opponents. Currently rated as the no.3 strawweight in the world, Balart has fought some of the most recognizable names in his division and is on a four-fight win streak.
