Miss Eco International PH Alexie Brooks is also an athlete

Before being crowned Miss Eco International Philippines , Alexie Brooks won medals as a track and field athlete.

In a post last May 9, just weeks before the Miss Universe Philippines pageant , Brooks also thanked sports for giving her the opportunities in life.

"With aspirations as seemingly endless as the horizon, I carried the hopes of my small town on my shoulders since I was young. I emerged from the shadows of a broken home and found a path to a collegiate education, thanks to the gift and talent of sports," she said as she graduated from National University which she also represented in the UAAP.
