Carlos Yulo wins two more gold medals in Asian Gymnastics Championships


Paris-bound gymnast Carlos Yulo wrapped his campaign in the 2024 Asian Gymnastic Union Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships on Sunday in Uzbekistan with two more gold medals from vault and parallel bars.

Yulo topped the vault event with a score of 14.883, beating the likes of podium finishers Abdulaziz Mirvaliev (14.783) of Uzbekistan and Malaysia's Muhammad Sharul Aimy (14.466), and compatriot Juancho Miguel Besana who finished fourth with 14.150.

In the parallel bars event, Yulo scored 15.133 to win the gold, while China's Dehang Yin (15.033) and local bet Rasuljon Abdurakhimov (14.866) placed second and third, respectively.

In total, Yulo won four gold medals in this year's edition of the tourney, with the two others from the individual all-around and floor exercise.

His younger brother Karl Eldrew also copped a gold in the juniors division of the vault event.
