Carlos Yulo wins floor exercise gold in AGU Artistic Gymnastics Championships

Paris-bound gymnast Carlos Yulo won another gold medal, this time in floor exercise, in the 2024 Asian Gymnastics Union Senior Men's Artistic Gymnastic Championships in Uzbekistan on Saturday.

Yulo scored 14.933 to claim the gold medal, besting the likes of Kazakhstan's Milad Karimi (14.600) and China's Yanzhi Yang (14.200). Fellow Filipino John Ivan Cruz also competed in the finals but finished fourth with 13.966.

This is Yulo's second medal in the event as he won in the individual all-around last Thursday.

This is also Yulo's third straight gold in the floor exercise of the Asian championships as he topped the event in the 2022 and 2023 editions.

Yulo is one of the three gymnasts bound for Paris, along with Aleah Finnegan and Levi Ruivivar.
