Laetaz Amihan Rabe leads Philippine delegation in Winter Youth Olympics opening parade

Skier Laetaz Amihan Rabe led the Philippine delegation in the opening parade of the Winter Youth Olympics in Gangwon, South Korea on Friday.

The Philippine Olympic Committee posted a snippet of Rabe's parade, while Philippine Olympic Committee president and Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino also posted a photo of some behind-the-scenes.

The 14-year old Rabe is among the three athletes who will compete in the Winter games, along with fellow skier Avery Balbanida and short track speed skater Peter Groseclose. 

Rabe, who is based in Switzerland, will compete in the women's slope style skiing on Wednesday and big air skiing on January 28. 

Meanwhile, Groseclose will open his campaign on Sunday in the 1000-meter short track speed skating and the 500-meter event on Monday. Balbanida, on the other hand, will compete in his event later this month.
