Alex Eala advances to Kyotec Open finals

Alex Eala is heading to the W40 Kyotec Open finals in Petange, Luxembourg.

The Filipino tennis ace defeated German foe Anna-Lena Friedsam in the semis on Saturday, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2.

Prior to this, Eala ousted Netherlands' Jasmjin Gimbrere in the quarterfinals, and Germany's Angelina Wirges and Denmark's Johanne Christine Svendsen in the first two rounds of the main draw.

Eala will face Oceane Dodin of France in the finals on Sunday.

In the doubles tournament, Eala and her Turkish partner Zeynep Sonmez fell to the duo of Great Britain's Ali Collins and Netherland's Isabelle Haverlag, 2-6, 6-7 in the semifinals on November 17.
