EJ Obiena on his birthday: 'Ready for you, 28th'

Filipino Olympian and pole vaulter EJ Obiena turned 28 on Friday and said he is ready for the upcoming year.

In an Instagram post on early Saturday (Manila time), the Asian record holder kept his message short but sweet as he celebrated his birthday.

"Ready for you 28th," he wrote on the caption of his post with the hashtag, #blessed.

Obiena will embark on another eventful year as he is set to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics which will be held on July 26 to August 11, 2024.

He is one of the four Filipino athletes who have already booked their slots to the Summer Games, including gymnasts Carlos Yulo and Aleah Finnegan, and boxer Eumir Marcial.
