AP Bren sweeps Blacklist to punch MPL grand finals berth, M5 World Championship ticket
AP Bren displayed full dominance as it swept former world and league champion Blacklist International, 3-0, in their upper bracket finals showdown on Friday in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 playoffs.
With the statement victory, AP Bren has now booked its ticket to the highly-anticipated M5 World Championship in December by virtue of advancing to the MPL Season 12 grand finals.
Exp laner David "FlapTzy" Canon (Terizla) provided the lift for AP Bren in Game 1, where they pulled off a 10-3 kill spread in just almost 15 minutes of clash.
AP Bren then took the most objectives in the second game as jungler Michael "KylTzy" Sayson (Fanny) won the lord fight at the 17:14 mark before he secured a double kill against Stephen "Sensui" Castillo and Edward "Edward" Dapadap in the base en route to a commanding 2-0 lead.
The Codebreakers put on a fight in game three, taking down seven towers and securing three turtles and one lord. However, Bren won the final team fight at the Blacklist's base to complete the sweep.
Prior to the victory, Bren had to survive five games against RSG Philippines in the upper bracket semifinals on Thursday.
