Jeremy Miado vs Lito Adiwang rematch booked for ONE Fight Night 16

Two of the best strikers in Philippine mixed martial arts are scheduled to collide once more when Jeremy Miado takes on Lito Adiwang on the undercard of ONE Fight Night 16 on November 4 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Miado and Adiwang shared the cage at ONE: X last March where the former triumphed by way of second-round technical knockout after the latter suffered a knee injury during the fight.

“I really wanted this rematch. When we first met, honestly, I wasn’t that excited because I knew I was facing a fellow Filipino and he wasn’t in the top five, so there really wasn’t any fire at all. But I’m now truly excited,” said Adiwang.

“I’m on fire for this rematch and it’s because of him and his cornermen. Honestly, I was hurt with the way they celebrated when I got injured. He wasn’t even winning that fight and they were celebrating like that.”

The 30-year-old Adiwang took time off and had to fully recover for more than a year after that night. He made his way back to action last month against Adrian Mattheis in Indonesia where he won via technical knockout in 23 seconds.

Miado, meanwhile, has fought twice since sharing the cage with Adiwang. He defeated Danial Williams by technical knockout seven months before losing to the highly-touted Mansur Malachiev by submission in round one last June.

"In this rematch, I’m coming with my A-game. I’m not going to hold back. Let’s finish this, and may the best man win," Adiwang quipped.
