Carlos Yulo falls in Worlds, misses all-around finals
Filipino Olympian and gymnast Carlos Yulo missed the finals of the all-around event in the 52nd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on early Sunday (Manila time) in Antwerp, Belgium.
Yulo fell on his back during the vault exercise as he scored only 67.765 points in total from the six apparatus to finish 59th.
Only the top 24 from the individual all-around qualifiers will advance to the finals.
The Filipino gymnast still has a chance to win a medal in the World Championships as he currently places third in his pet event floor exercise with a score of 14.600. Only the top eight will advance to the finals.
He was previously the world champion in floor exercise back in 2019.
